Today, House Republican leadership reversed course and agreed to the bipartisan Homeland Security funding bill passed unanimously by the Senate. House Republicans previously rejected the agreement that they will now seek to pass, needlessly adding weeks to the shutdown.
After House Republican leadership chose to extend the Homeland Security shutdown by blocking the bipartisan bill passed unanimously by the Senate, the shutdown continued, becoming the longest in American history.
