House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-03) today condemned the Trump administration’s reported plan to restrict federal child care funding:
House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-03) has learned that officials at the Department of Defense (DoD) are working to divert billions of dollars from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to supplement the Department’s budget.
House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) issued the following statement on the House passage of a continuing resolution funding the government through December 11, 2026.

Thank you, Mr. Speaker. I yield myself such time as I may consume.

I rise in support of the measure we are considering today, which would extend government funding through December 11th.

This bill, which passed the Senate by a vote of 90-6, is a marked improvement on the measure House Republicans forced to the Floor before the district work period.
