Congresswoman Marcy Kaptur (D-OH-09), Ranking Member of the Energy and Water Development, and Related Agencies Appropriations Subcommittee, delivered the following remarks at the Subcommittee's markup of its fiscal year 2025 bill:
House Appropriations Committee Republicans today released the draft fiscal year 2025 Energy and Water Development and Related Agencies funding bill, which will be considered in subcommittee tomorrow. The bill raises costs for American households, undermines infrastructure investments, and weakens our national security.
House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-03) released the following statement on House passage of the national security package that includes the Indo-Pacific Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024; Israel Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024; and Ukraine Security Supplemental Appropriations Act, 2024.
House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-03) today called on Democrats and Republicans to unite and pass the package of three national security funding bills. These bills provide support for Ukraine’s battle against Russian tyranny and Israel’s war against Hamas terrorists, as well as security for Taiwan and deterrence against Chinese aggression, and to address humanitarian crises in Gaza, Ukraine, and other populations caught in conflict zones.
