House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro delivered the following remarks during the subcommittee markup for the fiscal year 2027 Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies funding bill. Congresswoman DeLauro also serves as the Ranking Member on the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education and Related Agencies Subcommittee.
Today, the House passed the Republican fiscal year 2027 Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies funding bill. As costs for groceries go up, the bill cuts $200 million from fruit and vegetable vouchers for women, infants and children.
