Today, Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-03), Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Committee, and Senator Patty Murray (D-WA), Senate Appropriations Committee Vice Chair, introduced a short-term continuing resolution (CR) in the House and Senate respectively to prevent a government shutdown come Saturday, allow Congress to get back to negotiating and passing full-year funding bills for fiscal year 2025 that invest in America’s families and future, and ensure the American people have a say in how federal funding is allocated.
