House Republicans’ 2025 State, Foreign Operations funding bill is a reversal of the United States’ historic position on the world stage and threatens our national security. Numerous non-profit, faith-based, and advocacy organizations have expressed grave concerns with the House Republicans’ plan to slash State, Foreign Operations funding by 12 percent, the lowest level lowest level in over a decade.
Today, House Appropriations Committee Democrats highlighted how Republicans’ extreme 2025 State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs funding bill unravels the hard-fought credibility and influence the United States has earned as a global leader. The legislation weakens our national security and puts the American people and public health preparedness at risk.
