House Appropriations Committee Chairwoman Nita M. Lowey (D-NY) and House Appropriations Subcommittee on Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, and Related Agencies Chairwoman Rosa DeLauro (D-CT) today urged the Trump administration to transmit a request to Congress for emergency supplemental appropriations to respond to the coronavirus outbreak.

The legislation provides $3.35 billion in assistance to Puerto Rico, with significant funding for educational needs, repairs to transportation infrastructure, and community development activities.
