Pelosi Names House Democratic Defense and Labor, HHS and Education Appropriations Bill Conferees
Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi today named House Democratic Members to serve on a conference committee on the Defense and Labor, HHS and Education Appropriations bills.
“Across the country, the American people are confronted with a GOP Congress and Administration that are relentlessly ransacking the health care, financial security and futures of American families,” Leader Pelosi said. “After House Republicans chose to advance a destructive and partisan Labor, HHS and Education bill that turns its back on hard-working families, this conference will provide an opportunity to craft a strong, balanced bill that recognizes America’s strength is measured not only in military might, but in the health and well-being of America’s hard-working families. Democrats will fight for funding that honors our duty to provide our military with the tools they need for a strong and smart national defense and meets the needs of children and families.
