Appropriations Committee Releases FY 2020 Legislative Branch, Military Construction-Veterans Affairs Reports Ahead of Thursday Markup

WASHINGTON — The House Appropriations Committee today released its reports accompanying the fiscal year 2020 Legislative Branch and Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies appropriations bills.

The Legislative Branch bill appropriates a total of $3.943 billion in base discretionary funding (excluding Senate items), $135 million more than in FY 2019.

The full Appropriations Committee will mark up the Legislative Branch bill, followed by the Military Construction-Veterans Affairs bill, on Thursday at 10:30 a.m.

In total, the Military Construction-Veterans Affairs bill provides $108.1 billion in base discretionary funding – $10.1 billion above the fiscal year 2019 enacted level.
