"I am having déjà vu as I look at another Trump budget request that would drastically slash the EPA, in this case by more than 30%. Despite Congress’ repeated rejections of the Trump budget cuts, you again propose to eliminate programs that are important to our environment and the health of Americans."
"Sadly, the president’s budget for fiscal year 2020 completely fails to support the EPA’s mission. President Trump requested just $6.1 billion for EPA, which is $2.8 billion below the FY 2019 enacted level of $8.9 billion. This request is a cut of more than 31 percent below the FY 2019 enacted level. That is the largest proposed cut to any cabinet-level agency in the government."

Good morning, I’d like to welcome to the subcommittee the 19th Chief of the USDA Forest Service, Vicki Christiansen. This is your first time testifying before this subcommittee as the Chief, and we are very happy to have you here. Joining the Chief today is John Rapp, Director of Strategic Planning, Budget, and Accountability.
Today we will hear from two panels as we discuss the Department’s proposal to relocate the Economic Research Service [ERS] and the National Institute of Food and Agriculture [NIFA].
