DeLauro Statement on Senate Republicans Ending Appropriations Negotiations

WASHINGTON — Today, House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro (CT-03) released the following statement after Senate Republicans abruptly ended negotiations and prematurely released one full-year fiscal year 2026 funding bill:

“It is unfortunate Senate Republicans prematurely released partial text of the minibus without getting agreement from all corners. While the Military Construction bill is better than the full-year CR those programs were funded under for 2025, it is important to place it in the context of the entire legislative package that will be considered. Congress must invest in veterans, address the health care crisis that is raising costs on more than 20 million Americans, and prevent President Trump from not spending appropriated dollars in our communities.”
