Appropriations Committee Releases Second Funding Package: Financial Services and General Government; National Security, Department of State, and Related Programs
WASHINGTON – Today, the House Appropriations Committee released text for the Financial Services and General Government; and National Security, Department of State, and Related Programs funding package.
The second funding package in as many weeks provides more than $76 billion for the Departments of State and Treasury, the IRS, the District of Columbia, the federal judiciary and various other programs and agencies.
Summaries of funding bills included in the package can be found here: Financial Services and General Government; National Security, Department of State.
“This second funding package continues Democrats’ rejection of extreme cuts proposed by the Trump White House and Republicans in Congress,” said House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Rosa DeLauro. “It helps promote economic growth, protecting investments in low-income communities, and protecting access to grant programs for small businesses. It promotes Democratic priorities at home and abroad, providing funding for bilateral family planning and rejecting extreme cuts to humanitarian aid programs. And it continues efforts to rein in the Trump Administration through new requirements on the use of funds and increased transparency measures.
“The release of this second funding package continues our work on the Appropriations Committee to fully fund the government for fiscal year 2026 well ahead of January 30. I am proud of the work that was done to produce this package, and I am eager to vote for it.”
