Norm Dicks’ Statement After President’s Signing of Remainder of FY2012 Appropriations

WASHINGTON, D.C.: Today, the President signed the Consolidated Appropriations Act and the Disaster Relief bill, completing the FY 2012 appropriations process. House Appropriations Committee Ranking Member Norm Dicks made the following statement:

"The Appropriations Committee has begun to restore its reputation as a workhorse committee, finding ways to resolve our differences without drama and quietly getting our work done. I want to thank all the members of the committee, especially the ranking members of the subcommittees, for their efforts this year completing work on both FY12 and FY11 appropriations in a bipartisan fashion. In an era of profound partisan gridlock, I am proud of the work done by the Appropriations Committee."
