Lowey Statement on Budget Amendment

Congresswoman Nita Lowey (D-NY), Ranking Democrat on the House Appropriations Committee, today issued the following statement on President Obama’s request for supplemental Overseas Contingency Operations (OCO) funding:

“The national security needs facing our nation are significant, and include both defense and non-defense priorities.

“I will work on a bipartisan and bicameral basis to evaluate this budget amendment and ensure our defense, intelligence, and diplomatic personnel have the resources they need to keep our nation safe.”
