Appropriations Committee Releases FY 2021 Interior-Environment, Legislative Branch Bill Reports Ahead of Friday Markup

WASHINGTON — The House Appropriations Committee today released its reports accompanying the fiscal year 2021 Interior, Environment, and Related Agencies and Legislative Branch appropriations bills.

For fiscal year 2021, the Interior-Environment bill includes $36.76 billion in regular appropriations, an increase of $771 million above the FY 2020 enacted level, and $5.11 billion over the President’s 2021 request. Additionally, the bill includes $15 billion in emergency supplemental appropriations for investments in critical infrastructure. There is also an additional $2.35 billion of funding provided under the fire suppression cap adjustment.

The full Appropriations Committee will mark up the Interior-Environment bill, followed by the Legislative Branch bill, on Friday at 9:00 a.m.

For fiscal year 2021, the Legislative Branch bill appropriates a total of $4.198 billion, $207 million, or 5.2 percent, above the FY 2020 enacted level.
