Appropriations Committee Releases FY 2020 Commerce-Justice-Science, Interior-Environment Bill Reports Ahead of Wednesday Markup

WASHINGTON — The House Appropriations Committee today released its reports accompanying the fiscal year 2020 Commerce-Justice-Science and Interior-Environment appropriations bills.

The Commerce-Justice-Science bill contains $73.895 billion in discretionary budget authority, an increase of $9.78 billion above the fiscal year 2019 level.

The full Appropriations Committee will mark up the Commerce-Justice-Science bill, followed by the Interior-Environment bill, on Wednesday, May 22, at 10:30 a.m.

In total, the Interior-Environment bill includes $37.28 billion, an increase of $1.73 billion over the 2019 enacted level and $7.24 billion over the President’s 2020 request.
