Appropriations Committee Approves Fiscal Year 2023 Subcommittee Allocations

WASHINGTON — The House Appropriations Committee today approved allocations, known as 302(b)s, for its 12 subcommittees for fiscal year 2023 on a vote of 31 to 26.

The 302(b) allocations for the 12 subcommittees provide more than $1.6 trillion in funding, with significant increases to help fight inflation, lower the cost of living, create jobs, support working families, and build safer communities. The 302(b) subcommittee allocations are here. 

“Instead of catering to the biggest corporations and billionaires that despite record profits continue to raise their prices, House Democrats and the Appropriations Committee are once again introducing government funding bills that help the middle class, working families, small businesses, and the vulnerable who work hard. These allocations reflect our commitment to a framework for the upcoming fiscal year with three critically distinct components,” Appropriations Committee Chair Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-03) said. “First is funding to better meet the developing health care needs of our veterans that they so desperately need and have earned. Second, investments in Nondefense Discretionary Programs that build on last year’s successes and continue to make up for the shortfalls under the years of statutory caps. And third, responsible investments in defense spending to continue to improve the working and living conditions of our military, to address important defense-related environmental concerns, and to improve our national security. The investments we are making in the American people are needed to meet the moment. This funding will help people in profound and enduring ways and will help us build a nation and a world where every person – regardless of background – can succeed and flourish.”
