DeLauro Statement on Retirement of Senator Richard Shelby

House Appropriations Committee Chair Rosa DeLauro (D-CT-03) released the following statement on the retirement of Senator Richard Shelby (R-AL):

“In his decades of public service, Senator Richard Shelby has made a significant mark on the Congressional appropriations process and indeed the Congress as a whole. I respect his strong advocacy for his priorities and his diligent work to deliver for his beloved home state of Alabama.

“In his retirement statement, Senator Shelby spoke of his two good years remaining in Washington. I look forward to working with him in the coming years as we advance appropriations bills that move America forward.”
